Saturday brought up nearly three months since the end of the summer transfer window for Premier League clubs, and Everton showed how important their signings were in the 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Lucas Digne and Kurt Zouma both impressed in the Everton back four, as the Frenchmen so often do, whilst Bernard played a key role in setting up another addition for the opener in Richarlison.

Andre Gomes teed up Seamus Coleman for the second goal, with Richarlison justifying his price tag by scoring his second and Everton’s third in a superb 3-1 win.

It’s now four wins in their last five Premier League games, and with Everton’s summer signings thriving, the Toffees were even able to hand a long-awaited debut to defender Yerry Mina.

The Colombian, who impressed at the World Cup with three goals in three games from centre back, joined Everton for £27million on deadline day in August, but hasn’t been able to play through injury.

On Saturday, Everton boss Marco Silva decided to bring on Mina late in the day for his first Everton appearance, helping see out the win in the dying embers of the match.

Many fans have been waiting for a first glimpse of Mina in an Everton shirt in the Premier League, and whilst it was only brief, his first appearance will be a major boost for the Toffees.

Here are some of the best images of Mina’s Everton debut, and with Zouma ineligible to face Chelsea next week, Mina looks set to make a first Premier League start at Stamford Bridge.
