West Ham United beat Newcastle United 3-0 on Saturday.

West Ham United bounced back from a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City by beating Newcastle United 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, ending their three-game winning run.
The Hammers took an early first half lead as Javier Hernandez opened the scoring, with the Mexican seizing his opportunity alongside Marko Arnautovic in attack.
Hernandez got his second after the break, before Felipe Anderson added a third in the dying stages of the game, handing West Ham a thumping 3-0 win.
It was a fine day all round for West Ham, and boss Manuel Pellegrini was again able to name striker Andy Carroll on the bench having also been a substitute in the defeat to City.

Carroll, who has yet to kick a ball in anger this season, was making a return to his boyhood and former club this weekend, heading back to Newcastle yet again having left for Liverpool in 2011.
The striker didn’t make it onto the pitch, but he was welcomed back at St James’ Park by staff whilst fans even posed for photos with their former hero, with Carroll all smiles in the pre-season warm-ups.
