Andy Carroll will be hoping for his second start in the Premier League this season.
West Ham United take on Burnley in the Premier League this week, looking to get a long overdue win in the Premier League.
The Hammers’ last win in the top-flight came against Sunderland in October and they had a chance to end that run when 2-1 up at Anfield against Liverpool at the weekend.
West Ham’s Andy Carroll remonstrates with the referee Jon Moss after the game
They drew that game 2-2 in the end and toward the end of the game West Ham threw Andy Carroll into the mix, hoping he might snatch a late victory.
He is slowly coming back to full fitness after his injury problems and is looking to impress enough to get a start v Burnley.
He will do bandaged up.
He trained with the rest of the West Ham squad this evening at the London Stadium as the Hammers continue to try and get used to their new home.
He did so with stitches and plaster over his right eye. He had his brow split open in a collision with Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius but, knowing Carroll, he will tough it out.
It will certainly be interesting to see if West Ham hand Carroll his second Premier League start against Burnley tomorrow.
