Celtic are now just waiting for international clearance for Vakoun Issouf Bayo.

Celtic agreed a deal for Dunajska Streda hitman Vakoun Issouf Bayo two weeks ago – but there have been some issues meaning the move hasn’t technically been fully finalised.
After landing winger Oliver Burke and striker Timothy Weah on loan from West Bromwich Albion and Paris Saint-Germain respectively, Celtic brought in one more attacker.
The Bhoys raided Slovakian side Dunajska Streda to snap up Bayo, having been impressed with the 22-year-old’s form this season.
Bayo, an Ivorian international with one cap to his name, has hit 18 goals and seven assists in just 23 games this season, with many Celtic fans excited about his arrival.
The problem is that Bayo’s deal has been a prolonged saga even after the initial deal was announced a fortnight ago.
Celtic have been waiting for Bayo to receive a work permit to play in Scotland, given that he only has one cap so far.

However, Celtic signed fellow young Ivorian Eboue Kouassi two years ago on ‘special talent’ grounds, suggesting that he would greatly benefit the Scottish game.
It now seems that Celtic have received similar permission for Bayo, as the club have released photos of Bayo touching down in Scotland for the first time this evening, and even posing with a Celtic shirt.
Celtic did add that Bayo still needs international clearance to play, but with a work permit seemingly granted, fans should be able to see him in action soon.
