Tottenham Hotspur have a huge match on New Year’s day against Chelsea, and their players were put through their paces on Tuesday,
Tottenham Hotspur have had a good festive period to date, defeating Leicester City 2-1 before holding firm against Manchester United and giving them a real scare in the second half of a 0-0 draw.
Next up for Spurs is a home match against league leaders Chelsea, who will want to get back to winning ways after a 1-1 draw with Southampton last time out.
Tottenham are beginning to look like a far tougher proposition, with manager Mauricio Pochettino apparently settled on a regular starting line-up that can be highly effective – especially when it comes to the defence.
It will be interesting to see how many changes – if any – he makes for the upcoming encounter, with Chelsea sure to play their strongest available line-up. But whatever happens later this week the Tottenham players looked happy as they trained, with the likes of Michel Vorm, Andros Townsend and Christian Eriksen all involved.
