Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino included some young prospects in his training session today.
Mauricio Pochettino appears to have included a couple of players from Tottenham Hotspur’s development squad in this afternoon’s training session.
Tottenham visit Swansea in a huge FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday.
Throughout the competition, Pochettino has fused youth with experience, with the likes of Juan Foyth and Kyle Walker-Peters helping Spurs reach the last eight, while academy prospects such as Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Anthony Georgiou were named on the bench against Newport in January, though neither played.
And a few more potential stars of tomorrow were included in today’s training with the first team. Dylan Duncan, Joe Pritchard and Christian Maghoma were all spotted in various pictures, though how significant their presence is remains to be seen.
It seems unlikely that any of those three will be given their senior debuts against Swansea. Having been knocked out of the Champions League, the FA Cup represents Tottenham’s last and only chance of silverware this season.
Finishing in the top four would be great, but fans of the North Londoners have had that for three years on the bounce. They need trophies to reach the next level and their best shot at winning the FA Cup is by playing their best players.
