Tottenham Hotspur and Gent go head-to-head later this week.

Tottenham Hotspur’s players have been put through their paces ahead of their Europa League last-32 tie with KAA Gent.

Spurs dropped down to the competition after their elimination from the Champions League, and while they will be disappointed they will still want to make a fist of it and ensure they avoid an early exit.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is likely to give some of his fringe players a chance to impress in the competition, although injuries mean he is limited in just who will play in key areas.

Among those Spurs players on show in training was exciting young midfielder Harry Winks, who will be hoping to get another start after signing a new long-term contract at the club.

Right-back Kyle Walker-Peters (who himself has just extended his stay in North London) and centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers were also involved, but perhaps the most exciting sight was that of 18-year-old midfielder Marcus Edwards.

The teenager has recently returned from injury and he will be eyeing his first Tottenham start either this week or in the FA Cup fifth round tie against Fulham at the weekend.
