Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for their must-win match against Watford this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur’s players have been put through their paces ahead of a huge Premier League game against Watford on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have picked up just a single point from their last three matches and have slipped down to seventh in the table in the process.
That is not where Spurs will want to be heading into the busy Christmas and New Year fixtures, but a trip to Watford does not guarantee three points, with Marco Silva’s side in impressive form despite some shaky defensive showings this season.
The Hornets are one of the best attacking teams in the division and Tottenham will have to be at their best to keep the hosts at bay, especially with Brazilian Richarlison looking like a superstar in the making.
Tottenham will know that for all Watford’s quality going forward, they are very shaky at the back, and the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son could take full advantage if they have their shooting boots on.
Both players were involved in training on Thursday afternoon, along with Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier, who could play a crucial role with Pochettino needing to get his team selection right.
Some Tottenham fans are calling for Dier to return to the centre of the park, while others feel Dembele could yet rediscover his best form.
