Georginio Wijnaldum and Vincent Janssen are already fond of each other.
Vincent Janssen celebrates with Georginio Wijnaldum
Tottenham Hotspur remain with just one summer signing so far, but they continue to be linked to high profile transfer targets.
Most prominently linked is Vincent Janssen of AZ Alkmaar, along with Giorginio Wijnaldum. The Telegraph reported this week that Spurs hoped to sign the Eredivisie striker, and then turn their attentions to the Newcastle United winger.
Bringing the duo on board as a package would be an especially wise idea, given the fact they have already begun to forge a partnership at international level.
They combined to topple England in a recent friendly earlier this year, and were pictured celebrating together after the winning goal – a sight Tottenham fans would surely be happy for them to replicate in their colours next season.
The pair were also effective in a recent friendly win over Austria, in which they won 2-0, with Janssen scoring one and Wijnaldum netting the other.
Tottenham star Kevin Wimmer could only watch on as an unused substitute as the pair did the damage, while Danny Rose and Kyle Walker have also been warned first hand as to the damage the pair can do, both featuring in the England defeat.
