West Ham United were thumped 5-1 by Arsenal on Saturday.

West Ham United are one point above the relegation zone following Saturday’s demoralising 5-1 defeat by Arsenal at The London Stadium.

Alexis Sanchez stole the show with a sublime 20-minute hat-trick toward the end to pile more misery on West Ham, who sit 17th in the Premier League table.

Manager Slaven Bilic certainly has a lot to ponder – and if it wasn’t obvious by his team’s form then you need only look at an image of the Croat during the game.

Bilic, who enjoyed a fine first season with the Irons last term, cut a disconsulate figure at one point as Arsenal ran riot against their London neighbours.

The Arsenal seems to be one of his football’s good guys, with the industrious Chilean regularly uploading photos of himself with his dogs on social media.

But the 27-year-old reinforced his very decent image by taking the time to give young supporters a photo opportunity directly after the match.
