Liverpool returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday night, beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0.
After a frustrating 1-1 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend, Liverpool were looking to pick up three points back at home as a small number of fans returned to Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were superb against Wolves, taking a 1-0 lead through Mohamed Salah before running riot in the second half.
Georginio Wijnaldum and Joel Matip both got themselves on the scoresheet before a Nelson Semedo own goal sealed a 4-0 win.
To smash a very good Wolves side without some key players was another sign of just how good Klopp’s side are, and Diogo Jota didn’t even get himself all that involved.
Signed from Wolves over the summer, Jota has been in simply sensational form for Liverpool but was only on the bench against his former club.

Jota did come off the bench, but didn’t make an impact in front of goal, and then reunited with his former boss Nuno on the pitch.
Nuno has been a key figure in Jota’s career, first at Porto and then with Wolves, making him an important part with both clubs.
Nuno gradually phased Jota out of his side before selling him to Liverpool, but there seems to be no hard feelings as the pair shook hands and embraced at Anfield last night.
