Arsenal are back in action this evening as they travel to the South Coast to take on Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Gunners were outstanding on Saturday evening, beating London rivals Chelsea 3-1 in a superb performance at the Emirates Stadium.

Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka were all on the scoresheet in a fine victory, easing the pressure on boss Mikel Arteta.

Arteta needs to take confidence from that game and push for another win today, given that Brighton have won just one of their last 13 Premier League games.

This looks like a chance for Arsenal to grab a victory on the road, and Arteta has been given a boost ahead of today’s game.

Arsenal were in training on Monday, and photos captured Thomas Partey in action as he gears up for his return from injury.

The Ghanaian summer signing from Atletico Madrid picked up a thigh strain in the defeat at Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, and hasn’t played since.

Arsenal suggested on Christmas Eve that Partey is still unavailable, but had ‘progressing well’, working outside as he prepares to play again.

Just a matter of days later, Partey has been spotted in first-team training in an ‘individual session’ – and whilst he was clearly rushed back against Tottenham, fans will hope to see him again very soon.
