One day on from his appointment at the Hawthorns, and Sam Allardyce has been spotted holding his first West Brom training session.
The Baggies moved quickly to appoint the former England manager after dismissing Slaven Bilic, following a run of just one win in 13 Premier League games.
Allardyce has signed an 18-month contract in the Midlands, where his long-time assistant Sammy Lee has followed him to.
Despite the aforementioned terrible run of form, the former Crystal Palace, West Ham and Sunderland boss doesn’t have a mammoth task on his hands in terms of closing any gaps.
Luckily for the Baggies, they haven’t been cut adrift in the Premier League.
West Brom sit 19th in the table with seven points to their name.

On Thursday morning, the 66-year-old was spotted holding his first session, where he and Lee look like they mean business.
You can see a stern-faced Allardyce approaching the training field and addressing the squad below
A busy-looking Lee, stopwatch in hand, can also be seen shouting orders, presumably at the players.

Being sacked following a draw against Manchester City might’ve seemed harsh on Bilic, but Luke Dowling has made the right call, in our view.
The season is still young enough for Allardyce to make an impact, and as aforesaid, the Baggies are by no means cut adrift, so survival is definitely achievable.
