On Wednesday, Rangers were finally able to announce the signing of Bongani Zungu properly, after his two-week quarantine came to an end.
The Glasgow giants signed the South African midfielder on deadline day on a season-long loan from French side Amiens.
However, the Gers were unable to let the 28-year-old properly meet his new teammates due to restrictions caused by the global pandemic.
Now, however, Steven Gerrard was able to be photographed alongside his latest recruit, while Zungu was also allowed to take part in training for the first time.
Rangers’ official Twitter account posted two photos of the 24-cap South Africa international in training, which you can see below.
By the sounds of things, Rangers have landed an excellent player.
Zungu’s former coach at Mamelodi Sundowns, Pitso Mosimane, told the Daily Record that he thinks his ex-player is similar to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira or Manchester United’s Nemanja Matic.
Mosimane said: ‘He’s a holding midfielder, in the style of Vieira at Arsenal or Matic at Manchester United. Depending on the system Stevie G uses, he can also be used as an attacking No.8.’

As Rangers’ official site states, Zungu is in the squad for the Europa League clash against Lech Poznan at Ibrox on Thursday.
His presence hands Gerrard a different option in midfield compared to what he’s previously had at his disposal.
The ex-Liverpool captain certainly sounds delighted to have him on board.

He told Rangers’ official site: ‘I’m very excited to have him available. I think it has been a long two weeks for him in quarantine alone in a flat in Glasgow. He’s desperate to be involved so I’m sure it has been a long two weeks for the player himself.’
Zungu will wear the No.15 shirt for Rangers, and we can’t wait to see how he gets on in Scotland.
