Leeds United fans could be set for some impressive new banners to adorn their famous stadium.

Leeds United have submitted proposals to add new banners to their Elland Road stadium, with pictures published on Twitter by @tombanksUK this week.

Among the potential new designs is a celebration of the club’s famous players down the years, with special sections in honour of specific shirt numbers.

The plans include mesh banners that will include photographs of Leeds players past and present and if they get the go ahead it will make the ground even more inspirational on match days, with the current crop of Whites stars inspired to repeat the feats of their illustrious predecessors.

New Leeds sole owner Andrea Radrizzani recently made good on a promise to buy back at Elland Road and Whites fans are understandably elated.

The Italian has also overseen a substantial outlay this summer as new Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen brings in the players he will be hoping can inspire the club to a serious title tilt.

Promotion back to the Premier League is the key focus for the imminent campaign and Leeds certainly have the players to go one better this time round.

Leeds end their pre-season campaign with a match against Oxford United this weekend, before the competitive action kicks off against Bolton Wanderers on 6 August.
