Oliver Skipp is one of Tottenham Hotspur’s most exciting young players.

Tottenham Hotspur have their biggest domestic game of the season on Monday night.

Premier League leaders Manchester City visit Wembley and defeat for Mauricio Pochettino’s side could leave them six points adrift of City and indeed Liverpool, if they win at home to Cardiff City this afternoon.

It’s easily Spurs’ biggest test of the Premier League season, but could Pochettino include a rookie in his match-day squad?

Oliver Skipp was among those who trained in the Argentine’s first-team squad on Friday afternoon and it’ll be interesting to see if the 17-year-old midfielder makes the cut for Monday.

This is a player who Pochettino clearly likes, evident by the fact that he was named on the bench for the 4-2 Champions League defeat by Barcelona earlier this month.

That was another massive game in the context and yet Pochettino included him.

Skipp, yet to make his Premier League debut, was named by The Guardian as the next big thing to come out of the Lilywhites’ academy in 2017 and it’ll be interesting to see if he has a role to play against Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Sky Blues.
