Newcastle United have been linked with striker Wesley.

Newcastle United’s top striker target is Salomon Rondon after his superb loan spell, but with other clubs keen, they’re having to look at alternatives.
The Magpies won’t move to sign Rondon permanently until Rafael Benitez’s future is sorted, which may well lead to them missing out entirely, but one new target has emerged.
The Chronicle report that Newcastle want Club Brugge hitman Wesley, who enjoyed a superb season with 17 goals and 10 assists to his name.
It seems likely that the Brazilian will be moving on, especially as he was seen crying as he left the pitch against Royal Antwerp on Sunday.
The 22-year-old target man may be a big, physical brute of a centre forward, but he showed his emotional side as he prepares to leave the Belgian side.
The Chronicle carry quotes from Wesley in which he explains why he cried, admitting that he’s sad to be leaving the club after three years with them.

Wesley added that he doesn’t know his next move, but prefers a switch to the Premier League, which may give Newcastle confidence of a deal this summer.
“I’m really sad to leave, that’s why I cried,” said Wesley. “It’s been three years since I was in Brugge, a great club that made me grow and progress, a club with whom I discovered the Champions League and scored important goals, and now I’m going to meet a new challenge.”
“I do not know yet, I have a preference for the Premier League, but we’ll see what happens, I have to give it a go,” he added.
