A new face was spotted at Arsenal’s training session on Friday – but it wasn’t a player.

The Gunners have signed Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares from Anderlecht and Benfica so far, as their only two summer additions.

But they have also signed a coach.

Arsenal have hired former Manchester City man Nicolas Jover as a set-piece coach for the 2021-22 campaign.

And here’s a photo of the man himself at London Colney yesterday:

There was also another familiar face in the form of Bernd Leno.

Arsenal’s pre-season campaign has been underway for a couple of weeks but Leno was given an extended break following his participation at Euro 2020 with Germany’s national team.

But the former Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper, a £22 million signing in 2018, was pictured in Mikel Arteta’s session on Friday:

Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign with a trip to newly-promoted Brentford on August 13, a Friday.
