Manchester United and Liverpool meet at Old Trafford later this week.

Manchester United’s players were put through their paces ahead of a huge match later this week.

Louis van Gaal’s side welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford for the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie with the Reds leading 2-0 from the first match, and United must be considerably better to stand any chance of going through.

Goals from Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino at Anfield gave the Reds a strong foothold on the game and were it not for the usual heroics from United goalkeeper David de Gea last Thursday things would have been a whole lot worse.

Among those players preparing for the tie was 17-year-old centre-back Ro-Shaun Williams, the latest United youngster to be brought into the first-team fold.

Van Gaal has shown he is not afraid to give the next generation a chance at Old Trafford this season and it seems not a week goes without another teenager given a chance to impress.

Marcus Rashford knows that feeling very well and the 18-year-old forward was also training, along with the fit again Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
