The reported Liverpool target looked gutted on Friday night.

Liverpool fans will have no more other opportunities to gauge the talent of reported Jurgen Klopp target Alisson this summer.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent months and The Guardian reported in May that Liverpool would have to pay Roma an eye-watering £79 million.

Such a high transfer fee has divided fans of the Reds, but the 25-year-old will no longer be able to make a case for himself after Friday night.

Belgium defeated Alisson’s Brazil 2-1 last night as Roberto Martinez’s side secured their passage into the semi-final of the competition at the expense of the five-time champions.

And suffice to say that the reported Liverpool target – who was beaten by a Fernandinho own goal, and a Kevin De Bruyne wonder strike – looked devastated at times during and after the game.

It remains to be seen whether he has done enough to convince Klopp that he is worth the money, but the German manager will have to make his mind up quick, amid suggestions from Chiesadi Totti that the man himself could be interested in joining Chelsea.
