Leeds United will look to head into Christmas with one more victory under their belt.
Leeds United’s players have been put through their paces ahead of the Championship clash against Norwich City this weekend, and among those on show was centre-back Matthew Pennington.
The 23-year-old moved to Elland Road on loan from Everton last summer and he impressed in the early weeks of the campaign. However, Pennington has since fallen down the pecking order and Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen has opted for Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper as his first-choice centre-back pairing.

The duo have helped Leeds maintain their promotion push despite a blip earlier in the season and one wonders how many more chances Pennington will get to impress before he head back to Merseyside.
The matches are coming thick and fast for Leeds and effective squad rotation could be vital as they attempt to return to the top six and stay there until May.

The Leeds loanee has managed just 16 minutes spread over three substitute appearances in the last six weeks, but he will no doubt be hoping his hard work in training is ultimately rewarded.
Leeds take on Norwich, Burton Albion, Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest in quick succession and Pennington could have a role to play despite his lack of game time thus far.
