Leeds United won against Aston Villa in the Championship on Saturday evening.

Leeds United returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at home in the Championship on Saturday evening.

The West Yorkshire outfit headed into the game against Villa at Elland Road on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Premier League side Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

After a goalless first half on Saturday evening, Leeds took the lead midway through the second period when Kemar Roofe found the net.

Chris Wood scored the second goal for the Whites in the fourth minute of injury time at Elland Road.

The Leeds supporters were superb during the match, and they made their feelings towards the Villa players absolutely clear.

The Elland Road faithful did not hold back, as Villa attacker Jack Grealish realised how vocal the home fans could be (see photo below).

During the match a near-naked man ran onto the pitch with stewards chasing him.

In the end, it was a cheeky trip from Leeds player Luke Ayling that brought down the pitch invader (see photos below).
