Konstantinos Mavropanos was among the Arsenal players who trained ahead of tomorrow’s clash at AC Milan.

Konstantinos Mavropanos was among the Arsenal players who were put through their paces by Arsene Wenger before boarding a flight to Milan today.

The Gunners take on the Italian giants in the first leg of a last-16 Europa League encounter tomorrow and it will be interesting to see if Mavropanos is included in the matchday squad.

The 20-year-old joined Arsenal in January and it was thought that he would leave on loan straight away, but Wenger kept him in North London.

The Greek centre-back, an unused sub in a League Cup draw at Chelsea in January, has only been playing Under-23 games for Arsenal since, but he is registered to compete in Europe’s secondary competition and time will tell whether Wenger has taken him.

One man who definitely did travel to Milan is Aaron Ramsey. The Welsh midfielder was rested by Wenger for Arsenal’s dismal 2-1 defeat at Brighton on Sunday, and the Gunners could use his dynamism against the San Siro club – unbeaten since December 27 – tomorrow evening.
