Everton lost 4-0 at Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

Everton’s recent form lurched from bad to worse on Sunday afternoon, as they were hammered 4-0 away at Manchester United.
The Toffees went into the international break having lost 2-0 at Chelsea, and whilst manager Ronald Koeman wanted a response from his side, he was met with 3-0 defeats at home to Tottenham and away at Atalanta.
Fans subsequently travelled to Old Trafford on Sunday fearful of what Manchester United could do to Everton, and those fears came true as Jose Mourinho’s men romped to a 4-0 win.

Antonio Valencia, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial all got on the scoresheet for United in a thumping win, leaving Koeman to answer further questions about his lacklustre side.
The Dutchman impressed last season in his first campaign as Everton manager, taking the Toffees to a seventh-placed finish and a return to the Europa League, but this season has been disastrous so far.
After receiving the backing to sign Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Nikola Vlasic, Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez, Koeman was expected to make Everton a real force, but so far, his team appears to have regressed.

Fans are certainly unhappy right now, with many calling for Koeman to be sacked, and the feeling around Goodison Park was summed up by images of Kevin Mirallas and the aforementioned Sigurdsson at Old Trafford.
Both players looked dejected, defeated and frustrated as they reflected after conceding another goal, and that’s exactly how Everton fans felt on Sunday too, with Koeman’s task now to change the current atmosphere around the club.
