Liverpool’s forgotten stars have been training during international week.

While Liverpool’s top stars are currently featuring for their countries over the international break, there are a number of notable names left training at Melwood.
Among them is defender Joel Matip, who could be in line to play a prominent role with Dejan Lovren still out injured, he is Liverpool’s third choice centre-back.
Behind Matip in the queue is teenager Nathaniel Phillips, who was also being put through his paces yesterday.

Striker Divock Origi was also present along with Daniel Sturridge, with both battling for spots on the bench, along with Dominic Solanke who is with England’s under-21s.

Defender Nathaniel Clyne was also involved, having become a forgotten man for Liverpool and England due to the emergence of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alberto Moreno was another notable name present.
None of these players are going to be first choice for Liverpool but they are likely to be needed as the Reds embark on a very tough run of fixtures in the Premier League and Champions League over the next few weeks.
