Tottenham were comfortable 2-0 winners against AC Milan yesterday.
Tottenham Hotspur ended their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over AC Milan yesterday evening.
The result came after two defeats, against Real Madrid and the MLS All-Stars, which left fans concerned ahead of an opening day meeting with Manchester United on Saturday.
The win for Spurs came courtesy of goals from Nacer Chadli and young midfielder Tom Carroll, who is looking to be a regular feature for Tottenham this season.
There were also appearances for Luke McGee, his first start for the club, and Josh Onomah.
Kieran Tripper had an exceptional game, earning man-of-the-match in the process, and will be hopeful of pushing on at White Hart Lane this season after joining from Burnley this summer.
But perhaps the best bit of news from the game was the introduction in the 55th minute of French international Hugo Lloris.
The club’s captain has been out of action since fracturing his wrist in the United States. He was initially ruled out for the start of the season but it now looks like he may very well be fit enough to feature in the Premier League opener with Manchester United on Saturday.
