Gaetano Berardi is a no-nonsense defender, and he showed that during Leeds United’s game against Middlesbrough at Elland Road in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.
Berardi started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Leeds won 2-1 to get back on track in terms of challenging for the playoffs.
As expected, the 29-year-old, who can operate as a right-back or as a left-back, gave a good account of himself and made it hard for the opposition attackers.

Leeds played well against Middlesbrough and deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.
The West Yorkshire outfit will now hope that the win against Garry Monk’s side propels them to greater and bigger things.
Thomas Christiansen’s side are seventh in the Championship table at the moment with 26 points from 17 matches, level on points with sixth-placed Middlesbrough.
