The Belgian struggled for form at Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester United have had plenty of problems getting going in attack in recent months and have lacked that little spark necessary to turn a game on its head.
One of their almost forgotten talents who is capable of such a feat is Adnan Januzaj.
The Belgian international was a sensation at United a couple of years back but has struggled to win over Louis van Gaal since the Dutchman arrived at Old Trafford.
This season he spent time out on loan at Borussia Dortmund. However the deal, which was supposed to be season long, was cut short by the German side recently with Januzaj scoring no goals in 12 forgettable appearances for Die Schwarzgelden.
Now he is back at United and yesterday appeared to be doing his utmost to impress in training.
Januzaj got stuck in with his team-mates at Carrington ahead of United’s Premier League clash with Southampton this afternoon.
With Ashley Young now ruled out for the season Januzaj’s potential on the wing might see him get more football at United now he has returned.
Here’s hoping the enigmatic talent can find some of that sparkling form he first showed at Old Trafford.
