Glasgow Rangers defender Connor Goldson became the Ibrox side’s latest signing last week.

It may be the best part of two months until the Scottish Premiership season begins again, but with six signings already through the Ibrox door, the Rangers fans would be forgiven for feeling extremely excited about the upcoming campaign.
Steven Gerrard and Mark Allen have been extremely busy during the first few weeks of the summer, and the Gers now have the kind of spine that hints that they may be able to put up a much better fight for the title than they did last season.

Perhaps the best signing so far is the acquisition of Connor Goldson. The Daily Record reported that Rangers’ most recent addition has arrived for around £3 million having predominantly been Brighton’s third choice defender since returning from undergoing heart surgery.
While other signings certainly tick a lot of boxes, Goldson is young enough that he could become a stalwart for a number of years, old enough that he is edging towards his peak, and he offers the kind of leadership that Rangers’ defence often lacked last year.

And while it will be a little while before the Ibrox faithful get to see Goldson out on the pitch for Gerrard’s men, the club have provided a glimpse of their latest signing having posted a handful of photos of the 25-year-old in training on the Gers’ pre-season trip to Spain.
Goldson is clearly taking little time to find his feet amongst the Rangers squad as he shared a joke with James Tavernier, while he clearly looked focused while taking part in some of the drills on the field.
Here are the photos that the Gers posted on social media…
