Newcastle United will face Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.

The Newcastle United players were training on Monday ahead of the EFL Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday evening.
Newcastle will take on Championship rivals Wolves at St. James’ Park in the third round of the EFL Cup later today.
The Magpies faced The Wanderers at the weekend, losing 2-0 at home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The Newcastle players were training hard on Monday, and among those who attended the session was Chancel Mbemba (see photos below).
As the photos below show, Mbemba was in a good mood during Monday’s training session and was also working hard.

The 22-year-old defender’s attitude seemed to positive, and Newcastle fans should be pleased with that.
The DR Congo international has been on the books of Newcastle since the summer of 2015 when he joined them from Belgian giants Anderlecht for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian at the time to be worth £8 million.

Newcastle are third in the Championship table at the moment with 15 points from eight matches, four points behind leaders Huddersfield Town.
