Celtic beat Hearts 3-1 today as the team – and one player in particular – banished some demons.
Celtic came from behind to beat Craig Levein’s Hearts 3-1 at Tynecastle today.
Kyle Lafferty fired the Jambos into a surprise 1-0 lead, but Dedryck Boyata levelled to make it 1-1 at half time, before second-half goals from Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair sealed the win.
In doing so, Brendan Rodgers’s banished some demons, with this being the scene of their 4-0 defeat back in December which ended Celtic’s 69-match unbeaten run across all domestic competitions.
One Hoops man in particular also got the chance to settle an old score: Scott Brown.
The 32-year-old and Levein found themselves verbally brawling via the media back in February, after the Hearts boss claimed to BBC Sport that “everybody needed protection from Scott Brown”, in response to Harry Cochrane suffering an injury at the hands of the no-nonsense Bhoys star.
Here are some pictures of today’s match – including Brown’s peaceful gesture with Levein.
