Rangers grabbed a 1-1 draw in today’s Old Firm derby with Celtic.

Celtic and Rangers locked horns in the Old Firm derby once again on Sunday afternoon, with the visitors grabbing a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw.
Stuart Armstrong’s long range strike beat Wes Foderingham to put Celtic in front, but Clint Hill’s late leveller handed caretaker Graeme Murty’s a draw in his final game in charge.
Murty will now be replaced by new manager Pedro Caixinha, and the Portuguese manager was in the stands at Celtic Park to watch his new side in action.
The 46-year-old left Qatari side Al-Gharafa for a move to Rangers on Saturday afternoon, and he was in attendance for his first glimpse of the Gers.
Formerly of Uniao Leiria, Nacional and Mexican outfit Santos Laguna, Caixinha is a left-field appointment from Rangers, and images from today’s game showed him sat in the stands with a former Gers ace.
Compatriot Pedro Mendes sat alongside Caixinha at Celtic Park, sparking rumours over a possible Ibrox return for Mendes as Caixinha’s assistant.
Mendes, now 38, made 50 appearances for Rangers following a 2008 move from Portsmouth, and was something of a fan favourite in the blue half of Glasgow, with many supporters hoping he returns as Caixinha’s right-hand man to help him adjust to Scottish football.
However, Mendes is a registered agent, meaning he is unlikely to take a coaching role at Ibrox, but should be a good sounding board for the new Gers boss, with images below showing him in the stands at Celtic Park.
