Celtic beat Rangers 3-2 at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic saw off a spirited challenge from Rangers to win the latest Old Firm derby 3-2 at Ibrox, effectively seeing off the Gers’ title challenge.
After some shaky recent displays, Celtic went into this afternoon’s game under real pressure to make a statement, especially against a Rangers side who have been in blistering form in 2018.
Celtic put themselves under even more pressure early on, as Dedryck Boyata handed possession to Rangers ace Josh Windass, and he managed to sprint clear of the Bhoys defence before firing past Scott Bain for the opener.

Celtic did respond with a superb long-range strike from Tom Rogic to make it 2-1, and after Daniel Candeias had put Rangers back in front from Declan John’s cross, Moussa Dembele met a long ball from Scott Brown, lifting the ball over Wes Foderingham for 2-2.
After a pulsating first half, the game was finely poised and appeared to be heading Rangers’ way when Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic was sent off for elbowing Alfredo Morelos, but Brendan Rodgers men kept fighting, and claimed a 3-2 victory as substitute Odsonne Edouard smashed home the winner.
Celtic’s lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership is back up to nine points, with Rodgers and co seemingly closing in on another title after today’s win, with jubilant scenes from all in green and white at Ibrox.

Celtic fans will be delighted to have recorded yet another win over their famous rivals, and manager Rodgers and captain Brown summed up the mood after the final whistle.
Brown celebrated wildly with his teammates on the Ibrox pitch, whilst Rodgers saluted to the crowd before the pair embraced, as seen at the top of the page, as Celtic’s key duo celebrated a huge victory.
