Arsenal are back in action tonight, as they host Newcastle United for the second time in 2021, having beaten them 2-0 in the FA Cup earlier this month.
Emile Smith Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were both on target in that game, but fans had fears that they would miss out tonight.
The duo weren’t spotted in training on Saturday, but don’t fear Gunners fans – they were both spotted during Sunday’s session.
That suggests that both players will be available for Mikel Arteta tonight, but that isn’t the biggest boost he has received ahead of the game.
Left back Kieran Tierney missed out against Crystal Palace on Thursday night, with Arsenal leaving him out as a precaution.
The Scotland international was suffering from ‘muscle tightness’, and Arsenal chose to leave him out and go with Ainsley Maitland-Niles at left back instead.
Now though, Tierney has been back in training and Football.London report that he will be available for selection tonight.
That’s a triple boost for Arteta, with all three important parts of Arsenal’s recent return to Premier League form in recent weeks.
