Arsenal face Sunderland in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening, and it’s fair to say that Mikel Arteta may be thinking about rotating.

Indeed, this Christmas period is, as always, remarkably busy, and, with all due respect to Sunderland, the League One outfit shouldn’t pose the London club too much of a threat.

So, who will get a chance against the Black Cats? Will the PL2 Player of the Month, Folarin Balogun, get his chance to impress? Will Bernd Leno get a go between the sticks?

Well, it’s tough to predict who exactly will play in these types of games, but Arsenal have released some training photos that may well give us a bit of a hint.

Indeed, the Gunners showcased some snaps from training that showed Charlie Patino, Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand and Zak Swanson training with the first-team ahead of this game.

Arsenal will certainly rotate in this game, and it seems as though these three youngsters may be involved.

In our view, Arsenal supporters should be very excited about the prospect of these young players getting a chance, especially Patino and M’Hand.

Patino has been described as potentially the best player to ever play at Hale End, while M’Hand has been lighting up the PL2 this term, netting four goals and grabbing two assists.

It remains to be seen whether or not these players are handed an opportunity against Sunderland, but don’t be surprised to see them on the bench.
