Arsenal and Bayern Munich go head-to-head later this week.
Arsenal’s players were put through their paces ahead of the Champions League last-16 clash with Bayern Munich later this week.
The Gunners will be desperate to get one over the Bundesliga leaders and ultimately reach the quarter-finals of the competition, with whoever wins the first leg carrying the advantage into the deciding fixture at the Emirates Stadium later this month.
Among those Arsenal players in training was striker Yaya Sanogo, returning to the fold as he bids to make his first start of the season.
The forward was side-lined with injury back in April and despite coming to the end of his Gunners contract he could yet have the chance to leave on better terms, at least with a goal or two between now and May.
Sanogo is unlikely to have any significant role against Bayern but the Gunners have plenty of football still to play and he could yet make his mark, especially if injuries and suspensions take their toll at the business end of the season.
