Jack Wilshere and Wojciech Szczesny failed to complete the Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.

Just as Jack Wilshere was coming into some form, he suffered what looked like a horrible injury.

The Arsenal midfielder suffered the injury in the 50th minute of the Premier League match against Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

Wilshere was clattered by United defender Paddy McNair right at the base of the ankle. The England international called for the medic right away and was in visible pain.

Although the 22-year-old decided to carry on, he could not last for long and was substituted in the 55th minute, with Santiago Cazorla coming on in his place.

Then just moments later Arsenal conceded, as Kieran Gibbs scored an own goal.

As if things could not get any worse for Arsenal, manager Arsene Wenger was forced into making yet another change almost immediately.

Wojciech Szczesny had collided with Kieran Gibbs in the build-up to that goal and was replaced by Damian Martinez, who came on for his Premier League debut for Arsenal.
