West Bromwich Albion were trained by Alan Pardew for the first time today.

Alan Pardew put the players through their paces in his first training session as West Bromwich Albion manager.

The 56-year-old was named as Tony Pulis’s successor this week after West Brom sacked the Welshman last Monday following a series of poor results in the Premier League.

Pardew and assistant John Carver oversaw proceedings today as the Baggies prepare for the visit of Crystal Palace on Saturday and one face stood out in the training pictures: Oliver Burke.

The 20-year-old joined Albion for £15 million in the summer but injuries have denied him a first Premier League start as of yet, with the youngster making just two appearances since.

Burke, who suffered a hamstring injury last month, got 180 minutes under his belt in the Checkatrade trophy earlier this month and it’ll be interesting to see whether Pardew starts him against the Eagles.
