A host of young Liverpool players are being put through their paces ahead of the pre-season campaign.

The likes of Neco Williams, Harvey Elliott, Sepp van den Berg and Nathaniel Phillips have been spotted in Jurgen Klopp’s training this week.

But one of the more interesting faces also to appear is that of teenage powerhouse Billy Koumetio.

The 17-year-old French talent trained alongside some of Liverpool’s biggest players this morning ahead of tomorrow’s friendly with Stuttgart.

Koumetio, who stands at 6’5, was also photographed climbing above Virgil van Dijk in what looked to have been a set-piece situation on the training ground.

Here are some photos of the youngster:

According to Transfermarkt, Koumetio is a centre-back and it’ll be fascinating to see how he develops over the coming years.

He certainly has the height and he’s absolutely at the right club with regards to getting senior chances, given that his fellow teenagers – Elliott, Van den Berg etc – have all made their first-team debuts already.

Koumetio signed his first-ever professional contract with the Anfield club earlier this month and time will tell how he develops.
