Liverpool ended their pre-season schedule with a stunning victory over Barcelona as they claimed a 4-0 victory.
The Reds were taking on the La Liga champions at Wembley in the conclusion of this summer’s International Champions Cup.
It proved to be a highly enjoyable afternoon in London for them as they ran riot at the national stadium to secure a stunning 4-0 victory.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring for them in the first half as he fired past Marc Andre Ter Stegen.
They doubled that lead early in the second half as Mane turned provider to pick out Jordan Henderson in the box, his flick forcing Javier Mascherano to turn into his own net.
It was soon three as Divock Origi raced clear and fired through Ter Stegen’s legs, with Grujic adding a fourth late on courtesy of a looping header from the edge of the box.
The display will have thrilled Reds fans, who are quietly hoping for big things in their first full season under Jurgen Klopp’s leadership.
