Behind the scenes, Europe’s leading clubs are always looking to snap up the best of the next generation, and the same goes for Arsenal.

According to Brian Sciaretta, 17-year-old sensation Dantouma ‘Yaya’ Toure is currently training at London Colney as the Gunners take a look at him.

What’s the story?

Well, the United States Under-17 international arrives in north London with a big reputation.

Nicknamed after Yaya Toure, the winger has been described as one to watch for the future by US news outlet EDP Soccer.

Yesterday, a photo was taken of Toure alongside some of Arsenal’s Under-18 squad, which you can see below.

It is unclear whether the Conakry-born forward has already been signed by the Gunners, or is merely on trial.

Either way, it’s very exciting news to have a talent of this calibre through the doors at London Colney.

Who is Arsenal trainee Dantouma Toure?

Many positive things have been said about the Colorado Rapids forward.

Toure’s former coach David Tindall described him as a “sensational player” when revealing that he once watched the wonderkid score seven goals in one game, against one of the best teams in the US.

As quoted by the Mirror, Tindall said: “Yaya could easily take over a game as an individual but more often he was an unselfish player. We watched him single-handedly pick apart a top 20 team in the state by scoring seven goals. Yaya is a sensational player and was truly an undiscovered talent when he came our way.”

If we were Toure, we’d definitely be interested in a move to Arsenal, mainly as Mikel Arteta has already shown he isn’t afraid to trust young players.

The likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have blossomed under the Spaniard, and we see no reason why Toure can’t do the same.
