WWE’s Monday Night Raw was in Glasgow last night, with two stars donning Celtic and Rangers shirts.
WWE’s Monday Night Raw rolled into Glasgow on Monday evening – and two of their Superstars posed in Celtic and Rangers shirts during the show.
Ahead of the annual Survivor Series pay-per-view later this month, WWE’s Raw brand was on show at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, in front of a capacity crowd in Glasgow.
During the show, WWE’s UK Twitter account posted a photo of Superstars Sheamus and Cesaro wearing Celtic and Rangers shirts respectively to commemorate the trip to Glasgow.
Their current storyline sees them as tag-team partners who don’t particularly get along with each other, and the photo of them wearing the respective colours of the fierce Old Firm rivals summed that up well.
Irishman Sheamus – real name Stephen Farrelly – is a well-known Liverpool fan, but posed in the Celtic shirt alongside Cesaro, who was donning the blue of Rangers.

Cesaro, or Claudio Castagnoli outside of the squared circle, bears something of a resemblance to Swiss compatriot Philippe Senderos, who of course plays for Rangers.
This photo was far from the only football reference of the evening; cameras panned across Celtic’s Celtic Park stadium to a mixed reaction from the Glasgow crowd, whilst fans holding signs about Rangers striker Joe Garner were spotted in the stands.

Back in April 2015, during a WWE live show in Glasgow, Rangers attacker Kenny Miller was roundly booed as he was announced as a guest timekeeper, whilst Superstar Rusev was also seen in a Celtic shirt last time WWE came to Scotland, as football and wrestling often crossover during UK tours.
