There have been plenty of pictures of the work being done on Tottenham’s new stadium in recent weeks, but precious few of the changes undergoing the existing White Hart Lane as it enters its swan song year.

Whether the club attempt to close the open area somewhat for fixtures to avoid the atmosphere escaping from the gap in the structure remains to be seen, though any work they will do now is surely only going to be superficial.
It will be peculiar for Tottenham fans to return to their home stadium in such an unusual state, and it will certainly bring home the reality that the club are entering their last season in the famous old stadium.

White Hart Lane is notorious for it’s atmosphere, primarily because of how close the stands are to the pitch, and it is impossible to gauge whether there will be any difference in home matches until kick off at 3pm on Saturday.
