Much was expected of Andriy Yarmolenko when the Ukraine international joined West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

According to The London Evening Standard, West Ham had to pay Dortmund a transfer fee of £17.5 million in order to secure the services of the 28-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a winger.

Yarmolenko may have failed to make a huge impact at Dortmund last season, but his performances for Dynamo Kyiv over the years suggest that he is a very good attacking footballer.

The Ukrainian, though, is not having a good time at West Ham at the moment, as the Hammers have lost their opening two Premier League games.

The attacker came on as a substitute in the 67th minute against Liverpool at Anfield, and the 28-year-old also came on in the same minute against Bournemouth at the London Stadium this past Saturday afternoon.

Yarmolenko could make make a huge impact in the match after he came on, and the summer signing did look quite frustrated and dejected after the defeat, as shown in the photo below.
