Stewart Downing found his pre-game ritual rather relaxing today.
West Ham United take on Hull City tomorrow at Upton Park hoping to carry on their impressive season with a triumph over The Tigers.
To do so, they will hope that their most expensive ever player Andy Carroll is again in top form. He scored a wondergoal against Swansea City last week – although West Ham were eventually left disappointed with a 1-1 draw.
With Hull at home, West Ham will certainly be expected to pick up all three points.
For a game like this however it is important to get the preparation just right. Carroll has shared a photo today of a player who might have been enjoying his preparations a little bit too much.
That squishy face is in fact the West Ham playmaker Stewart Downing. The England international appears to have taken a nap while receiving his pre-game massage today. His team-mate and fellow North-Easterner Andy Carroll, who was a former team-mate at Liverpool, was happy to take a snap and share it with his followers on Instagram and Twitter.
