West Ham United drew 1-1 at Manchester United on Sunday evening.
West Ham United picked up a 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, with Diafra Sakho bagging the opener for the Hammers.
Slaven Bilic’s men went into the game in desperate need of points as they hovered above the relegation zone, and they got off to the perfect start as Diafra Sakho headed home Dimitri Payet’s free kick to give West Ham the lead inside two minutes.

West Ham couldn’t hang on though, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic latched on to Paul Pogba’s chipped pass to head beyond Darren Randolph, and whilst the two sides had chances to win the game, a point was a fair result in the end.
Bilic will have been happy to see Sakho find the net, with the Senegalese attacker becoming the first striker to score a goal for West Ham in the Premier League this season, but it was a bittersweet evening for the 26-year-old.

Sakho was making just his second appearance of the season having missed the first three months of the campaign through injury, but was substituted on 66 minutes with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.
Sakho’s superb performance comes after questions over his future at the London Stadium, given that the the striker allegedly had a row with manager Bilic (Daily Mail), and Sky Sports reported that he even handed in a transfer request over the summer.

Factor in that Sakho saw a £16m move to West Brom fall through in August, as reported by The Telegraph, and few really expected the striker to be turning out for the Hammers again.
However, he excelled on Sunday, and showed that there is no strain on his relationship with manager Bilic by going over to celebrate with the Croatian after his goal, and was then congratulated by the Hammers boss after being substituted, as the photos above show.
