Robin van Persie was not watching Manchester City in the Champions League this evening, and neither was one of their former players.
The striker posted a photo on his Instagram page of him catching up with Nigel de Jong, a Dutch international colleague.
De Jong currently plays for AC Milan, but is best known for his spell in English football with Manchester City, a key part in their 2011/12 title win, during which Van Persie was still at Arsenal.
What they were discussing is anyone’s guess – A switch for Milan for the reportedly wantaway Van Persie? Or was the United striker trying to tempt the ex-City man to try and become United’s key defensive midfielder?
