Former West Ham youngster’s Charlton season is over.

Charlton Athletic youngster Lewis Page is out for the rest of the season after undergoing an operation on an injured hamstring.
Page, 20, signed for the Addicks in January from West Ham on a two and a half year deal, having spent the first half of the season at another League One side, Coventry City.
The talented left-back had featured previously for West Ham in the Europa League, but felt he would get more first team football by leaving the Premier League side, expressing via Twitter that he ‘could not wait to see what his future holds’.
In the short term, it is bad news. After a promising start for Charlton, his season has been ended and he faces a battle to be fit for the next campaign.
He posted an image on social media from his hospital bed last night after undergoing an operation, having suffered the injury last week in a 1-1 draw with Bradford.
Page is the second Charlton player to sustain a serious hamstring injury in the past month, with promising Arsenal loanee Stephy Mavididi’s spell at the club ending early.
If the youngster wanted to prove a point to West Ham that he should have been given more chances in the first team to prove himself, Page will have to wait a little longer to make it.
