Tottenham stepped aside as Andre Gomes joined Everton, and now reportedly want him.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to hijack Everton’s deal for Andre Gomes, The Telegraph report.
This is especially frustrating for Tottenham after they went up against the midfielder in pre-season, and decided to concentrate their efforts elsewhere.
Tottenham’s players went head to head with Gomes’ Barcelona in a friendly match in the US, a match which ended 2-2 before Barcelona won on penalties.
Gomes went on to sign on loan to Everton, who landed him unchallenged.
Now Tottenham have changed their mind and are keen, hopeful they can persuade him to join up at the end of the season.
Everton have no fixed option to buy at the end of their loan.

Spurs will likely have Champions League football to offer Gomes next season, but Everton have a massive headstart, with the midfielder enjoying his football on Merseyside after a terrible time at Barcelona.
Everton may also be able to outbid Tottenham for his services.
Tottenham may try, but they have probably left it too late.
They have no excuse, Gomes was right there in front of them.
Spurs were preoccupied trying and failing to sign Jack Grealish, and ended up with nobody, missing out on the chance to loan Gomes for a season.
