You can tell Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney once had Celtic’s Scott Brown as a captain.

The 23-year-old defender won eight major trophies with the no-nonsense Hoops skipper at Parkhead, despite only breaking into the senior side on a regular basis during the 2015-16 campaign.

And it appears as if some of Brown’s stoic mentality has rubbed off on the young Arsenal star.

On Wednesday, Tierney was photographed wearing a t-shirt during the Gunners’ training session and, interestingly, he was the only player sporting one.

His Arsenal team-mates were all well insulated in hats and gloves and trackies and training tops that hug the neck area.

The picture evoked memories of 2017 when the legendary Celtic midfielder rocked up to a snow-covered Lennoxtown in shorts and a t-shirt, while his team-mates gathered everything they could to combat the freezing conditions.

It wasn’t snowing at London Colney yesterday, but you get the impression that Tierney still would have braved the elements in the same way his former skipper does.
